About Task Status Flow

Task status flow is used to create chains of status changes that are allowed. Many business processes follow a proscribed flow and you can create a flow that only allows a subset of task status values to be selected at any particular point in the flow

Each record in a task status flow identifies a permitted status value that be chosen based on the current status value. If you want to allow multiple status values to follow a specific status, you create multiple records using the same key value.

You can specify whether a comment must be recorded upon status change, which is recorded as a task note. You can also specify that the task status change and optional comment be confirmed before they are changed. You specify the confirmation message.

The TASKSTATUSANY function can be added to a user's role with Disabled set to N in order to override the configured task status flow. This function is intended to allow administrative users to investigate issues with task status flow and repair data issues.
